Party Foundation Day is a public holiday in North Korea, and it is observed on October 10 each year.

Party Foundation Day celebrates the anniversary when the Central Organizing Committee of the Communist Party of North Korea was established on October 10, 1945, which was considered as the predecessor of the ruling Workers\’ Party of Korea.

Workers\’ Party of Korea has been the founding and ruling political party of North Korea since its inception in 1949, and it guides the political, economic, and military matters in North Korea. The workers\’ Party of Korea controls the Korean People\’s Army, which is the central institution of North Korean society under the Songun leadership.
